As you may be aware, SCoPEd is a project undertaken by BACP and 6 partners, including UKCP and NCS, which is aimed at making it easier for other professionals and members of the public to understand the training and experience structures within our profession. This document is a summary of what has been achieved so far and what the next steps are. It potentially affects us all, regardless of which governing bodies we are affiliated to.

Safeguarding is quite rightly an important issue in our field. It ensures best practice in relation to the most vulnerable clients we are likely to work with. There has been much written on this topic, making it quite a minefield. We believe the BACP document offers the best and most straightforward summary.
